About Me
HI!
I’m Chaya (pronounced “Hiya”) and I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and a trained Life Coach. My professional and personal experiences have allowed me to witness firsthand the innate resilience that human beings possess, no matter their past or current circumstances. I am particularly passionate about supporting women of all ages as they navigate this crazy thing called LIFE. I also have a flair for helping aging adults and their loved ones to navigate the ups and downs of older adulthood.
I am a Jewish educator, mentor and speaker, and I am a living kidney donor! My husband Seth and I have been married for over 30 years and we have 5 children ages 16-27.
Clients say I am authentic, easy to talk to, spiritual and funny. When I am not busy counseling, coaching or consulting, I can be found doing Pilates, running, spending time with the family, learning Torah or singing out loud!

Since life is a full-contact sport, it's inevitable that we will acquire some emotional bumps and bruises along the way, that can interfere with how we truly want to think, feel and act. Together we can explore your inner landscape and through the therapeutic process, you can gain clarity and can actually HEAL! You CAN live your life leading from a sense of serenity, balance and wholeness, no matter what is going on around you. While I love using IFS ("Parts Work") and EMDR, loyalty to YOU comes before loyalty to a particular therapeutic approach.

Trauma Therapy for Women of All Ages (17yrs+)

Many people may discover the effects of trauma, which can cause them to live with deep emotional pain, fear, anxiety, depression, confusion, or post traumatic stress.
The support, guidance, and assistance of a trained therapist is fundamental to healing from trauma, and I offer a safe, supportive space to heal. Due to its profound healing effect, am passionate about Brainspotting, a relational and neurophysiological modality. Using Brainspotting as a basis, I integrate Internal Family Systems (IFS), Somatic Therapy, EFT (the Emotional Freedom Technique) as well as EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing) and DBT (Dialectical Behavioral Therapy). We tailored your experience according to your needs, goals and comfort level.

Counseling for Teen Girls and Women
Women are amazing and I love walking along side women as they navigate the ups and downs of life.
As a mother of five (my youngest is 18 already!), a daughter, sister, wife, friend, community member, professional…(the list goes on!), I am able to share my professional training along with my personal experience to support you. Psychotherapy and 12 Step Recovery can be a wonderful partnership. Most people in recovery find that they needed “outside help” to address areas such as anxiety, depression, trauma, and more. Being a caregiver for an aging parent is an overwhelming — yet important and rewarding — role to fill. If you’re in the “sandwich generation,” it can be even more difficult, and caregiver burnout is very real. Let’s talk about what you can do to take care of yourself in order to be emotionally and physically available for everyone who needs you, including Mom or Dad. Don’t live near your aging loved ones? I can also be the eyes and ears on the ground for adult children and family members who live at a distance.

Initial Counseling Session*: $250
Ongoing Individual Sessions*: $190
Longer sessions (75 min or 100 minutes) are often helpful in processing trauma and are offered at prorated rate.
Initial Family Session*: $300
Ongoing Family Sessions*: $250
Consulting for Seniors & Caregivers: $230 first hour plus travel
Supervision for Social Workers: $160
*Rates are per 50 minute therapy hour which is the industry standard
